We have also stayed with Shimano for the brakes, using their ever-reliable MT200 hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent and reliable stopping power. The Alpina was always about developing a mountain bike that could handle the demands of UK trail centres and off-piste wild tracks, and central to that is modern-thinking frame geometry, specifically built around a 100mm fork and 29in wheels. Longer top tubes and slacker head angles combined with super short 45mm stems and ultra-wide 750mm handlebars result in a confidence inspiring ride that feels controlled while you enjoy the thrill of the trail.
